KnoKno ("we," "our," or "us") provides an AI communication coaching service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application ("App").
By using KnoKno, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and name from the authentication provider. You may also provide a nickname.
Conversation Data: The messages you send to KnoKno, chat screenshots you upload, and AI-generated situation analyses, recommendations, and replies are stored to provide the service.
Memory Data: Our AI automatically creates summaries of your conversations to provide personalized coaching. These memories are stored securely and are only accessible to you.
Profile Information: If you choose to share, we may store your zodiac sign, birthday, relationship information, contacts you add to the App, and contact context you choose to confirm or save.
Device Information: With your permission, we collect a device token for push notifications. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.
Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage patterns (feature usage frequency, session length, marketing page views, and App Store link clicks) to improve our service.

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We do NOT use your conversation content for advertising purposes.
We may conduct research to understand how people handle dating-app conversations and to evaluate KnoKno, a commercial product. Participation is voluntary and does not require an App account.
Anonymous surveys: We may collect age-range eligibility, general location eligibility, phone type, recent dating-app use, communication habits, product preferences, concerns, optional written feedback, referral source, browser locale, a random browser identifier, a one-way hash of the submitting IP address for abuse prevention, and a truncated user agent. We do not ask for dating-app passwords, private messages, or chat screenshots in these surveys.
Optional testing applications: If you separately volunteer for a usability test, we collect your email address or Reddit username, US time zone, general availability, contact consent, and recruitment status. Testing contact details are submitted and stored separately from anonymous survey answers and are not linked to a specific survey response.
We use this information to analyze research results, select and contact potential participants, conduct sessions, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions, and provide any promised participant reward. Anonymous survey responses and research notes are kept for up to 12 months. Applicant contact information is deleted within 90 days after recruitment closes unless you separately agree to further contact. You may request deletion by emailing [email protected].
